Bank account with lousy credit rating?

Just wondered if anyone knows of a bank or building society which will accept you for a savings account when your credit rating is rubbish.
I have a basic Natwest account and also a 2nd savings one with them but I want to open another with another bank to save a fixed amount each month for my stepdaughter. I don't want the money to be mixed with mine although I the account will be in my name.
Any suggestions please?

Savings accounts do not require credit checks as you are not applying for credit.
Only time you wouldn't get a savings account is if you are bankrupt or have CIFAS markers against you.0 -
Tesco savings accounts just do an ID check.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0
