You're not looking for a puppy perchance, are you Mint? I'm wondering if your friends have taken one from me....if they called it Caesar, then they did. I had four dumped on my doorstep a few days ago. Grrrr. I was going to keep one, but have discovered, since bringing it into the house, that I am allergic to it, so won't be able to keep it. I'm really upset about it, as she's a lovely little thing, and I've taken quite a shine to her. Had taken her to the vet yesterday for a check up. However, I can't put up with this breakout of eczema on a full time basis, I must be allergic to the dog's hair.
Anyway, I now have a little girl and a little boy which need homes, so if you know of anyone, or would like one yourself? They are pointer cross breeds, and the cutest little things ever.0 -
Wow Anne Marie we must be close yes J and A called him Caesar. Sorry to hear of your allergy but we are not even thinking about taking a dog until we have a secure garden at the very least.
Well the weather has brightened again so after hairdresser has been and done then it's time to get some jobs done. Pictures up, sort bathroom heater, check the jacuzzi, replace bathroom shelf brackets will do for a start.
OH has committee stuff to do this morning while hairdresser here so it will be nice to natter over coffee.
Out to a fundraiser tonight so I need to sort a frock or something suitable. This then requires painted toenails at least. Maybe hairdresser will do them while dye is on hair?Living the dream and retired in Cyprus :j

We were invited to a local village event in aid of the football team last night. Well that is what we were told. Luckily we did dress up a little as it was being held in one of the big hotels.
500 ish people and a very good event it was. The room was stunning all dressed for the occasion and decorated with balloons everywhere. Catering did well and the waiting staff were brilliant. Turkish singers, belly dancer, a raffle which we couldn't understand a word of lol and we ended up being taught Turkish dancing which when the men get up is really spectacular. They are so proud of their heritage. We were each given a flower (ladies) with a number pinned on it and a little photo frame (men) with the logo of the football team again with a number. These were the raffle numbers. Suffice to say our table didn't win anything but we got to bring our flowers and frames away with us.
It was a really welcoming evening and as well as our table it was nice to be recognised as we walked through the tables by people we have met over the years.
By the way diy didn't even get a look in the other day so maybe it will feature today but then again a walk in the sun may be nice.
Happy weekend xxxLiving the dream and retired in Cyprus :j

It comes to something when you can't remember what you did two days ago lol
But yesterday was good SS and SD both called and left lovely messages. Grand daughter also sent lovely words.
We went for lunch and there were at least 20 people in the restaurant we knew so it was a little like a party. Then back to friends for coffee a walk in the village and to play cards and Okay. On the way back we then had to pop in to meet some new owners that are here for a long visit and asked to meet us which was lovely.
Our neighbours arrived overnight so it will be good to see them today and I really must knuckle down to some chores. But first I need to return the plate to the local lady over the road and have a chat with her.
Time is going so quickly that we realise we need to manage things a little so we don't get overwhelmed.
If anyone remembers what I did Saturday I would be grateful lolLiving the dream and retired in Cyprus :j

Oh yes Saturday it's just come back to me was a bit messy lol
No breakfast due to I am not sure what happened so we eventually said lets pop out for lunch early as there is a lovely local place to us who we havnt seen yet and they are so good to us we felt it was time to visit as they know we are here and would be wondering why they hadn't seen us.
Neighbours stopped us as we were leaving as they came for information and so we had a beer while chatting when we then heard some other neighbours were leaving sat evening and not Wednesday that I had in diary so cue to pop into them to say goodbyes before we went for a now 'late' lunch.
We eventually got to our destination about 3pm and after popping into local shop made it back about 6pm. Chilled out from seeing owners who are thrilled we are now here full time we flopped for the rest of the evening having achieved precisely nothing !!!!!Living the dream and retired in Cyprus :j

The week has flown by. Monday evening we ended up out for an early dinner with Norweigians as it was their last night and then Tuesday our direct neighbours plus the over the roads and another pair of holiday makers who have all just arrived went for a local meal.
Friends came for dinner Wednesday so once again slow cooker goulash as that's so simple and yummy then I did a no bake cheesecake which was a great success and we had loads left as it was rather big lol
We have been to the bank again and are done there now so that's a weight of our minds and with Rambling also yesterday 10k we were tired so an early night after a chicken and plums dish which is quick and tasty from Hugh Fearnley whathisname.
Today I went to an aqua aerobics class which was fun and also went into the sauna and steam for the morning with free teas coffees etc for the princely sum of £4.
Leftovers of the goulash tonight and I am determined to catch up with a few call the midwife and Holby City. Plus I want to start crocheting a baby blanket for our site manager who is due July.
Odd diy jobs are still mounting up but there are always offers of help in return for techie computer help from OH.
Found a new beach not far from us and a better road to drive to the old fisher mans harbour to explore as well.
OH was out with the telescope and the sun filter to see the eclipse this morning and managed to get a couple of really good shots.
Once again happy weekend xxLiving the dream and retired in Cyprus :j
