Buying iPad on eBay

Hi. I am thinking of buying an used iPad for my 7 year old. There are lots of auctions on eBay all starting from 99p. A part from reading the feedback, how do I recognise a honest seller and a good reliable item? Is it at all possible?

    Xmas Saver!
anything i buy, I look at the sellers feedback, - whether they buy only, sell only, how long a member, whether they have sold bigger items before,

Id be wary of the 99p start, as there most prob have a "big" reserve...

(my thoughts), if you brought an ipad 2nd hand and it was £100 theres no guarantee and it could conk out 2 days after xmas.

What about looking on Amazon for a new tablet, my DD is 12yrs, shes already got a blackberry tablet, (2012 xmas), she still uses but wants a ipad (out of budget for me), so I'm looking at a 10in tablet, it looks like I can get a good one for around £60 to £75, if I wanted a 7in tablet there around £40 +.

Hi..unfortunately it is not easy..I have been using eBay for over 10 years and I was done few months ago. I bought iPad air from a seller who had 100% positive feedback. It was brand new and £140 cheaper than buying it from Apple. He already sold few and all buyers were happy. Three months later I had a call from the police to say the iPad was stolen along with all the 25 iPads he sold on eBay. They said I was lucky as the retailer who this guy stole the iPads from ( was an employee) did not want to recover the iPads otherwise I would have lost my money. I had to submit a statement to the police and the guy was jailed. eBay and PayPal did not want to know...be careful
  • Maybe I should buy a brand new tablet cheaper than iPad but are they any good?? I have a samsung tablet, I can't get used to and it has been 2 years now. It plays up a lot and the screen isn't great. But I am open to suggestions. My daughter will mainly play educational games...she likes a big screen too, my samsung tablet is small and she doesn't care for it...
    these kids now a days!
Oh if anyone has a tip to make my samsung behave I appreciate.
