Hello,
I'm going to buy an SSD 128GB and Put Windows 7 on it and some games,
1) Will Windows 7 fit on this SSD?
2) How would i go about putting it on?
3) If i could put it on how do i keep my old drive as Storage?
Any help appreciated!

yes it would fit , I had a full running win 7 on a 30g SSD , for safety sake unplug your old drive , install new drive and then install win 7 , then add your old drive (plug power back in) set bios to boot from SSD , then your old drive can either be reformatted , left with files on , and indeed you can even boot from it if your SSD goes down.
I am running win 8.1 now , 256g , loaded with proggys , there is still 200g left, so I put a basic loading on to my old 30g and leave it as a backup if my new drive fails
win 8,1 loaded with updates but no proggys takes about 20g.
look at the prices of drives on amazon etc , I bought a 256g for about £2 more from my local PCworld ,0 -
There are plenty of tutorials of this on YouTube. Why not watch a few then come back here with any specific questions. Most SSDs come with instructions and software in some cases to ease the transition.
If you want a step by step guide then you'll need to be much more specific with details of the SSD and your existing Sata Hard drive. I'm sure some kind soul on here will be happy to oblige.0 -
SSD is a great way to speed up your machine for low cost.
Just make sure to change the bios settings before booting up for the first time with the SSD installed. SSD needs different setting to ye olde style drive. Read the instructions/google it for more info, else it wont work and you will waste a lot of time.0 -
