Hi all,
Can anyone help please
If i have a credit card and have paid off the balance and have a good few months left, can i cancel the direct debit for the minimum payment now the card is cleared and aslong as i don't want to use it any longer?
Thanks in advance

If there is no statement balance then the minimum payment will be £0.00. If that's the case then they wont take anything.
Obviously, if you set it up manually to take say £25 a month then you will need to cancel it.0 -

Was your card 0%? if not, then there will probably be residual interest to pay. Keep an eye on your statement next month, if it comes up as £0.00, then yes you can cancel it.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0
