Win a Holiday Competition

The Promoter
1. The promoter of the Win a Holiday competition (“Competition”) is Hermes Parcelnet Limited trading as myHermes, registered office address: Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS27 0WH and registered company number 3900782 ("Promoter", "we", "us").
Eligibility
2. The Competition is open to all residents of the UK, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, who are aged eighteen (18) and over and meet the requirements set out below, with the exception of (1) employees and officers, and their immediate families of Jet2holidaysLimited ("Jet2holidays"), Jet2.com Limited (“Jet2.com”), Fowler Welch-Coolchain Limited and Dart Group PLC (together the four companies shall be the “Affiliates”), (2) employees and officers of the Promoter, its agents, associates, printers and their immediate families and (3) anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
3. By entering the Competition you indicate your acceptance of these terms and conditions. The Competition information on the Promoter’s website forms part of the terms and conditions.

How to Enter
4. The Competition opens on 29 October 2014 at 00:01 and closes at 23:59 on 19 December 2014. Entries must be submitted within this period.
5. There is no cost to enter the Competition. To enter you must have guessed the correct number of parcels in the lorry displayed within our promotional video on the myHermes website, please note that:
5.1. in the event that more than one entrant has guessed the correct number of parcels, these entries will be entered into a prize draw and one entry will be chosen at random and will be deemed the winner;
5.2. in the event that no entrant correctly guesses the number of parcels in the lorry, the entrant with the number closest to the number of parcels in the lorry will be deemed the winner; and
5.3. in the event that no entrant correctly guesses the number of parcels in the lorry and there is more than one entrant closest to the number of parcels in the lorry, these entries will be entered into a prize draw and one entrant will be chosen at random and will be deemed the winner.
6. Further entry requirements are that:
6.1. you must have accurately added your name, contact email address and telephone number (so that we can contact you if you win the Competition); and
6.2. you agree to share your details with Jet2holidays and understand that they may use your details to contact you regarding their flights, holidays or similar services (as was highlighted to you on the entry page).
7. The Promoter shall only accept one entry per person. Multiple or bulk entries or entries through agents or third parties are invalid.
8. Responsibility cannot be taken for lost, damaged or delayed entries whether due to technical problems or otherwise. Incomplete or invalid entries will not be accepted.
The Prize

9. There is one prize for one winner. The prize is for a 7 night stay for two adults and 2 children (up to 12 years old on the date of return) on a half board basis at the Hotel Bitacora in Playa de Las Americas, Tenerife. Also return flights for two adults and 2 children are included subject to the terms below (“Prize”). Flights shall depart from airports in the UK servicing Jet2.com that fly to Tenerife. Transfers to and from the airport in Tenerife is included in the Prize and shall be organised by Jet2holidays. The destination cannot be changed by the winner. Jet2holidays reserves the right to offer an alternative property or destination to the equivalent value of the Prize.
10. Whilst Jet2holidays will take into consideration and will use reasonable endeavours to accommodate any dates requested by the winner at the time they redeem their Prize, the dates are subject to flight and hotel availability and bookings may not be taken during peak times such as bank holidays and school holidays. Please note that different destinations have different flying schedules so certain months may not be available.

12. The Promoter recommends that you take out your own insurance as this is not included with the Prize.
13. The prize holiday must be redeemed by 31 March 2015and taken by 31 December 2015.

15. Changes to names, dates and accommodation are subject to the standard change feeplus any differences in cost as outlined in Jet2holidays general terms and conditions which can be foundat www.jet2holidays.com/terms-and-conditions.aspx
16. In the event that Jet2holidays cancels or makes a change to the prize holiday as permiteed under its terms and conditions, Jet2holidays will give as much prior notice as possible to the winner and the winner will be made aware of his or her rights under its terms and conditions. Any changes or cancellations will be notified by email or telephone.
17. The duration of the Prize holiday may not be extended and any additional passengers booked will be charged at normal rates.
Flights
18. A restricted number of free seats are available per flight, Jet2holidays reserves the right to offer an alternative date/destination to the one offered if this allocation is met.
19. One item of checked baggage is included per person. All optional flight/board/accommodation supplements are extra and must be paid for by the winner at the time of booking for the travelling party.
20. Flights may not be exchanged for cash and may only be taken by the winner along with another adult and up to two children.
21. Flights must be taken at the same time and are non-transferable.

22. All passengers travelling on Prize flights must have a valid passport to travel, together with any relevant visa and/or other entry requirements.

Administration of the Competition

23. The Promoter shall administer the competition in accordance with the rules set out above.
24. The winner of the Competition from all valid entries received shall be notified via email within 7 days of the Competition end date.
25. If the winner does not respond to claim their Prize within 28 days of a notification being sent out by the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to award the Prize to the next eligible entrant using the process above.
26. Any Prizes won by a business will be the property of the business (rather than the participating individual), to be used at the discretion of winning business.
27. Jet2holidays shall contact the winner by email with a Prize winning letter attached confirming full details of the Prize and how to claim.
28. Details of the winners will be available by sending a stamped addressed envelope to myHermes Win a Holiday Competition, Marketing Department, Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS27 0WH within four (4) weeks of the closing date.
29. The Prize is as stated and there are no alternative prizes or cash substitutes.
30. In the unlikely event that the Prize cannot be fulfilled due to circumstances beyond our control, the Promoter has the right to substitute the Prize with an alternative prize(s) of equal or greater value.
31. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
32. The Promoter reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions, to cancel or postpone the identification of the winner, or the Competition at any time as a consequence of circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
33. You agree that we may use your personal details to participate in publicity accompanying or resulting from the promotion including but not limited to winner announcement on the myHermes website, www.myhermes.co.uk, or on our social media channels (Facebook and Twitter) and to administer and run the promotion.
33. We shall not be liable to you should you suffer any expense, cost, claim, loss or damage by making any entry or from you winning the Prize, provided that nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit our liability in respect of personal injury or death caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
34. English law applies and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any proceedings in connection with the promotion.

a maths problem - a typical trailer holds about 88 cubic meters (13.6m x 2.7m x 2.5m) if full to capacity - a typical parcel eg 30cmx40cmx20cm = 0.03 cubic meters so if loaded full you could fit in almost 3000 parcels
