Dont but a ALBA TV from argos they go just after guarantee runs out and when you try saying about the manufactors they get so defensive just spoke with a so called Manger ended up emailing MD so disgusted with them:mad:

I've got an old Alba DVD player in my bedroom. Ideal for occasional use but not something I'd rely on as my main box.

E-mailing the MD of a company because one of their managers refused to accept an out-of-warranty return is not likely to yield anything.

Either pay yourself for the TV to be repaired (if it can be) or buy a new TV.

Budget brands are not known for reliability or after sales service.

Next time I suggest you go to John Lewis or Richer Sounds and purchase a better known brand with a five year guarantee.
