Not much good with sums but the big meter is reading 40GW.

    That's 40,000,000,000 Watts or 44,000,000 kW.

Lets say £0.13 per kW/h including VAT.

    That's 44,000,000 x £0.13 = £5,720,000 (£5.72 Millions) per hour or £137.28 Millions/Day being earned by the electricity companies. The governments VAT take is 137,280,000 x 1/21 = £6,537, 143 (£6.537 Millions) per day that's £2.4 billions per year.

Summing up, have I anything to complain about?
