Just wanted to wish welsh_boi all the best and wanted to say I am impressed he wants to start out on the straight and narrow and stay there.

There *will* be temptations along the way - but just think ahead and know that if you can't afford it and you have to borrow to get it (whatever 'it' is!) then, that's the start of the dreaded slippery slope. I speak from too many years of bitter experience! :rotfl:

You can have your own stuff - but don't make the mistakes a lot of us have, by borrowing for that instant hit of gratification (it doesn't last long - the guilt creeps in almost straight away and your stomach hits the floor when the statements come in ).

Saving a little and often really helps when or if a crisis occurs too.
