Beware if you are considering buying online or mail order from this Company (and I use the term loosley) ECKMAN. They advertise themselves mainly in the newspapers


Having ordered an item at the begining of AUGUST it has still not been sent - excuse after excuse after excuse and here we are at the begining of November and its still a no show.




Various emails have failed to produce the desired effect. So what would you do ? - that's right write to the MD of the Company - and again no response whatsoever.
They only thing they seem to excel at is being poor. Additionally if you Google Eckman there seems to be an awful lot of complaints about them and their goods - perhaps I should have googled them before I ordered. Now re ordered with Amazon and the goods received within 48 hrs - seems like ECKMAN could do with taking a leaf out of the Amazon book


Would I recommend ECKMAN - no way, nor would I recommend them to my friends and family and if you are considering purchasing from them don't say you haven't been warned.
The good thing is that if they continue with this service they will soon be out of business - and I will vote for that

I must echo concerns about this company, who I urge you not to hand over any money to. I'm £134.98 down and I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get my money back via my credit card company.

I ordered one of their 'Telescopic' Hedge trimmers, which arrived a few days later. despite all paperwork, including the instructions stating it was, it was definitely not 'Telescopic'. I was poorly made and constructed of the cheapest materials. To extend the pole it was a male/female coupling with a rubberband running through it. I would estimate after 2-3 times this coupling would have been unusable.

I tried to return it.The 'Customer Service' was appalling. After making arrangements for them to collect the item, we waiting in two days for them not to arrive. Eventually they did collect it, but it's now been a month and I've had no refund and they haven't replied to my last six E-mails. They now have my money and the strimmer, which I have no doubt that they have sent to someone else to carry out the same scam.

The matter is now with my Credit Card company, so if I do get any money back it will be months.

From the previous report it looks as if this scam company is going under various names, so I urge you to beware and don't fall into the trap that we have.
