Moved away from Zonealarm as I had problems when they tried to improve it.
I now use Comodo which is also free - touchwood never had a problem - https://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/0 -

a lot of people like Sygate personal firewall too, but mostly because of the custom options in sygate rather than any security benefits. zonealarm is about as good as they come for free."If you really want to hurt your parents and you don't have nerve enough to be homosexual, the least you can do is go into the arts."0 -
One thing the free version of Zonealarm doesn't allow is port forwarding which means that if you use P2P software you may find that your download rates are very low0

Does it still include that Mailfrontier Email filter? That was the reason I moved to Comodo as it completely crippled Outlook and there was no option for not installing it."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

I got rid of Zone Alarm as I found it to be a bit of a hog on resources..Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication - Leonardo Da Vinci0
