Hey, I really need everybnodys help. I am off to London next week to work at the O2 Arena. The only issue is that i will have to pay for my own accommodation. Does anybody know of a good price hotel in this area? I'm just looking for a basic place really, nothing fancy. Also i don't have a massive amount of spare money so ideally i need to get it for as near to £100 as possible. Thanks

Look at cheap hotels around Stratford, Charlton, Woolwich and Deptford.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Is that £100 a week or per night?

If it's per week then I can't see how you are going to get a hotel or B&B at that price or even somewhere on AirBnB. One option may to bring a tent and go camping: http://www.visitlondon.com/where-to-stay/caravan-and-camping0 -
hostelworld.com, if you don't mind sharing a bathroom or bedroom. You'll be hard pressed to find an actual hotel room with en-suite for your budget unfortunately!0

Presumably this is for the tennis. Given the huge amount of money that the organisers will be making, and the similarly huge amounts being paid out to the participants, it seems a bit harsh that people being brought in to work the ensure the event runs smoothly aren't being paid enough to actually find somewhere to stay that isn't a hovel (probably all that £100 will get you for a week's stay). Perhaps you could ask Andy Murray if you could stay at his place for the week, and he might give you a lift to work (although you might have a problem if he doesn't make it to the end).0

You will still need to adjust your budget though £15 per night isn't realistic for most places in the UK let alone central London.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
£100/wk? I doubt you could find anywhere an hours commute from O2 for £100/wk.
cheapest would have been travelodge, but to get cheap prices would need to have booked weeks ago, and that would still be nearer £200/wk
If member of YHA you can sometimes strike lucky and get a dorm for £30pn but again, needs to be booked well in advance
Cheapest option i can find is camping at lea valley. £14pn, currently have offer on 7 nights for price of 5. Or 40% off on their lodges/huts0 -
Last year when I got married my wife's family came over from abroad and stayed in various places around the Greenwich/Blackheath area where we lived. Her younger brothers stayed in this place: http://www.st-christophers.co.uk/london-hostels/greenwich - it was fine, although a bit noisy I think. If you don't mind a dorm room you could do it for about £100.
Not an ideal location for the O2 though - you'd have to take a bus along the traffic-choked Trafalgar Road.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -
I was also going to recommend St Christophers - I doubt you'd get much else within similar distance of O2 (if you have a bike you could easily bike to O2). Otherwise there are some pubs with B&B rooms for £20-£40 a night along Woolwich Rd (going from Greenwich into Woolwich)0
