This page includes terms and conditions ... where can I find a definition of WHAT THIS ACTUALLY IS ... is this a "duplicate" ticket for another companion? If I buy a Business class ticket, then the companion gets the same for free?0 -

No. If you make an avios booking you get a second seat for "free". Though by free they mean no avios, you still have to pay taxes etc. on it.
It does say this in the pages you were linked to (though why they felt the need to be so snotty about it I have no idea).0 -

Can I ask if I make a Business class booking with Avios, would the other seat be a Business class seat as well?0 -
