So they are going to tell you what was on your P60 and add a load of waffle that is available on the WWW. I would rather they actually got their house in order than waste a fortune on this PR exercise.

They'll send me a lot of information that I more or less knew and will now wind me up more.

So what happens to my Council Tax, Fuel Duty and VAT for example, or does that cover the cost of sending this rubbish out.

I weep for the trees that have to die for this.

On the other hand, for the nerds who like to swot, why don't we have an exam afterwards?

Do an online quiz, and you get a tax refund if you pass.

Teacher's pet high scores get a lunch for two in the Treasury canteen.

Top mark in UK gets a job offer to work in the Treasury.

Hopefully people WILL do something with it - they should check it. With the problems people have come on here with, such as taxed for 3 jobs when they only had 2, taxed for 2 co cars. I could go on, but I won't. It is a real opportunity for people to understand.

What they do with the money is a bit of an irrelevance, as no doubt they will group it so that it will cause an outcry about the benefits bill.

Too right to. Deal with this and it will solve the [STRIKE]immigration [/STRIKE] sorry net migration problem and we can stay in the EU
The only thing that is constant is change.

    The tax statement in full:

"You might have paid us £10k in tax. You might have paid £20k. Or it might be £50k. Whatever it was we spent £1k of it on an HMRC computer that doesn't work. We'll tell you how much it was if you'll let us spend another £1k of your hard-earned dosh to fix it."

Got mine today the welfare component was £4808 wow, if I was made redundant tomorrow or had to claim sickness I would get a total of £2002 based on £77 a week contributions based benefits provided they couldn't get away with reducing it...seems a bit of blow to be paying over double that each year... That doesn't include State Pensions by the way...another £2377 there..
Health £3700 I am unlucky health-wise I need a few drugs to get my medical conditions under control so I can contribute and I pay over £100 for my pre pay cert in addition as I don't get free prescriptions.

  • What a complete waste of money. I thought propaganda on behalf of the government using public money was illegal.
The real joke is my wife's figures don't add up and are not accurate. And they supplied her with correct figures previously.
Can't we start a campaign to get this waste of money abolished - come on Martin!
