Sack him and don't pay. A plumber would should never leave a customer without hot water or heating in the winter even if means working through the night.
Changing over to a combi-boiler is a 1.5 day job, and the plumber should have set a side at least that time.Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0 -
