HSBC messaging system

a standard holding message is fine, as long as it's followed by a proper reply.
fwiw i find the messaging system itself to be dire. i have had "Unread Messages" sitting on my login page for well over a year. they cannot be opened. attempting to just takes me to an error message.0 -
What's the mistake? HSBC have had the secure messaging system a long time and are pretty good at replying to any query. (And they probably will reply that way, they are just keeping you inform)
And as ^^ changing a DD isn't simple. You can cancel your DD mandate yourself via internet banking. But a DD is a payment pulled by the utlity etc. so you will need to speak to them, not your bank, if you want the date or amount varied. Your other bank wouldn't have been able to resolve it either.
Unless you're confusing it with a standing order. Which, again, you can do yourself via internet banking with HSBC.
Incidentally, history has shown that double password/pin isn't secure - it's prone to a wider range of attacks than third factor authentication is.0
