Accessing credit file - need to do on phone

I just tried to access my credit file on Equifax and when I got the security questions they were all very random - e.g. your credit file shows you opened a current account in 2009 with one of a list of providers (I am with one of the providers they listed but I really don't think I opened a new account then) or you took out a mortgage in 1999 with one of these providers (I was under 18 then and have never had a mortgage).

My first fear is someone has stolen my identity, but I am thinking it is more likely they have mixed my details up with someone elses - is that possible? Or that the system can't cope with flat numbers? Is that likely?

They say I need to phone them so guess I'll try that tomorrow and maybe will work it out.
I managed to get my credit report ok on noddle and they had my accounts (except that I had to get them to correct one of my previous flat numbers and postcodes - so maybe that is the issue)
