Checking Account Limits

Hi all,

I don't see a single consolidated list of number of account limits you can have for high interest checking accounts. Is there a thread for that?

If not, would be really useful to consolidate the list here! Below is just based on accounts I have and removing anything I know you can't get any more (e.g. multiple accounts for some), but my information is likely out of date with new restrictions...

BOS
- Vantage: 3 singles, 3% on £5k

Lloyds
- Club: 1 single, 4% on £5k

Santander
- 123 Current: 2 singles, 1 joint, 3% on £20k

Tesco
- current account: 1 single, 3% on £3k

TSB
- Classic Plus: 1 joint, 1 single, 5% on £2k

There is no such thing as a checking or a single account in the UK. It is current and sole accounts. Your list isn't correct on a number of accounts (e.g. 123, Tesco), and there is a write-up on MSE on interest paying current accounts. Granted, they do miss the BOS Vantage for some reason but that account has been discussed here for over a year.

Santander sole account limited to 1 for new applications.

Number of TSB accounts. Varies depending on the date that first TSB Plus was opened.

Tesco 2 sole accounts?

I like the idea of a list but it may not be quite that straightforward.

See - exactly what I was looking for - thank you! Don't know how I've never come across that page in my years browsing this site...

The problem is T&C change. That list isn't accurate for many on here.
