Afternoon all!

This is the link I found, but if you read back, you'll see the lovely Karlie recommended some alternatives that might suit you, depending on what you're looking for.
I placed a hurried cheese order this morning, fingers crossed a shoulder of lamb, 6 packs of cheese, 1 tub of CG soup and 2 bottles of Robinsons squash should be winging their way to me in just a few hours' time for the grand total of £16-odd. I know it's not the cheapest anyone's ever had, but it'll do nicely for me.
Is there any way of placing another order with the codes on the same account? I wanted to use my delivery saver to send some home for free but it wouldn't let me apply the codes again when I tried earlier.
MILDRED, please don't take all the magazines just yet, I've told my dad to go and get some, but it'll take him a couple of days to process what I'm on about! :rotfl:
He does like glitches but M and their stupid coupon policy trouts have put him off trying much0 -

Though I'd let you all know about a nice little Elite trick re: cheese. I don't think it's been mentioned previously; apologies if it has.
Basically, it's a way of getting cheese for a few pence. I'm a tight bum and don't want to pay the £4 fee or add another £15 worth of groceries to take it up to £25. Because in my mind, that's spending extra money to gain the 'free' cheese. I want to spend as little money as possible to get the cheese, IYSWIM?
Anyway, this is how it works. First of all, you need to know which store your online grocery is picked from. Just because your local store has a C&C point does not mean it's picked from there. After you know this, you need to do some research online and in store. I did this yesterday...
We all know that any large supermarket has stock discrepancies. In other words, their system says there's 6 items in stock but in actual fact they have 0 in stock. So you then need to look online on T's website and find an item that is likely to have a stock discrepancy. Gift sets or video games work quite well.
After you've found some potential items, go to your local store where your items would normally be picked from and have a look on the shelves. If they can't be found, then we're on to a winner.
Next ask a friendly member of staff with a handheld scanner to check if the item you're looking for is in stock. They'll look at their machine and say 'yes sir/madam, according to our system there should be 5 of them in stock.' They then check on the shelf and in their stock room and confirm there's none available in the store. Now the fun begins.
Order £10 worth of cheese and the unique item you know about to get above the total of £25. Make sure you add a low value item too for a few pence...you know the types. Because a balance of £0 is the last thing we want. Also make sure you select 'no substitutes' with your item in question.
When your shop is picked the next day, the cheese will go through along with the low value item BUT the other item won't. So total cost will be the price of the Everday Value item...in my case, let's just say it cost less than 20p.
May not be worthwhile for some, but certainly for others. If anyone else can get 2kg of cheese for less then please let me know (without returning items).
Hopefully this will benefit some of you.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

fairclaire wrote: »Hmm just realised that the wine discount didn't come off my order. I ordered the same meal deal wine that it worked on Instore but it was subbed with another so that must be why? It's still a meal deal one so that's confusing. I guess the discount is only working on certain ones or maybe even just a rogue one? Interesting......
If anyone else is ordering meal deals and wine, the one that worked for me was finest Navarra Rose. The sub that hasn't worked is Finest Vinas Del Ray Toro Rose HTH
Not complaining, Im more than happy with what I got for my money
Hi, thanks. I'm trying to redo my order. It's a pain when I'm usually a sada shopperwhich wines give the pp please? Do they take their prices from msm? Thanks

I better get used to eating out of date food, it's something mentally programmed into me, I know the dates are just guidance but I can't bring myself to eat anything past cell-by and I'm worried I wouldn't eat a mountain of cheese in the time given. Although that would be an interesting challenge :rotfl:
We prefer to eat cheese after the best before date here, especially things like brie and Stilton.
I currently have quite a few packs of Wensleydale in the freezer that I got for about 50p a pack, no idea of the date. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
