  • I will confess to being a bit of an emotional wreck at the moment :o so apologies in advance.

I love this thread and all that it stands for. If it wasn't for this thread a lot of us would be a lot worse off, and I don't mean financially. I met a wonderful lady on here who I now have the privilege of calling my best friend, that wouldn't have happened if we weren't all on here. And I know I'm not the only one who has made friends for life on here. We are so much more than bargain hunters looking for a good deal. Look at the he outpouring of emotion when Mr 3Dogs passed away, how everyone rallied round donating to logies coffee morning, raising funds for Mads funeral flowers and donating on his behalf and that's just the tip of the iceberg. I've sat here this morning with tears in my eyes after reading FC's post and then seeing the picture of our much missed friend Mad.

I know I'm giving thread time to the person/people who keep reporting posts but seriously we are stronger than and we won't let you try and sabotage this thread. So many people rely on it for many different reasons why on earth would you want to try and take that away or disrupt it I honestly can not comprehend.

    Just my thoughts :o
...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

    PRIDE

There's a fork in the road, which way will you go
You standing still or will you step into the great unknown,
Is yours to decide, this is your life.

I have just dropped Dgd off at nursery , and it must be a reflection of life

today ... As all I ever hear parents do in there is wine on about trivial things

To teacher's such as today the mother in front of me rips into the teacher

About her dd had an accident at school and went home with the " nursery "

Knicker's"" on ...She said how many times do I have to tell you people she

has knickers in the front compartment of her bag and you have been told

    this ?

Then there was a paper to sign to give consent to your child's picture in the

local paper ... Yet another wine on about I think I have already signed one

of these before ....So exasperated teacher says you may have but this is

just an update to make sure that everyone has accepted their child's photo

Is allowed to be published in local paper ....then mother drones on about

waste of her time keep signing things blaaa. Blaaaa blaaa

Although this mother had now got a queue behind her every parent and

grandparent waiting for her to sign it so they can get on with their day

She wasn't bothered about wasting my time

This just would not have been heard of in my day and it's time parents stop

twisting on about everything and instead of children mimicking said parents

Behaviour they may learn how to mimic good behaviour and respect

And last but not least that Barclays advert about learning life skills

Grinds on me ...the things those adverts refer to were already a learned

behaviour by the time I was five we went to school stood still hands

straight no fidgeting said the Lord's Prayer and would no way talk to any

Adult in an unsuitable manner ...come on parents wake up and see what

you are doing to mould your child's future

    Grrrrr rant over

    I'm excited :j:j:j

I just hope the friend I'm going with who has MS can get a seat - the tickets for Murrayfield are "standing and unreserved seating".

I still can't get through on the phone to find out about disabled access

EDIT: Well done on getting your tickets too altojack :D

    and breathe :D
Reporting someone if they have done nothing wrong time and time again will probably get them a ppr rather than who they are reporting :D

No doubt its more work for the behind the scenes team so hopefully it doesn't become too much work that we become something they can well do without

As I have said many times I am too lazy/10p cb on soup/gravy etc does not interest me. But if I can save someone some cash or make someone smile its all good :p. If my humour upsets you tell me (sound of floodgates opening) or just stick me on ignore as what I say is never meant maliciously apart from to trolls

Some people have a lot on their plates, some post about it others don't  and some think they have but in reality :rotfl:

Dont try and turn this into just a deals thread
