  • Just out of interest, what does everyone do about printer ink?

Is there a thread on MSE about different ways of going about it... at home refills, packages etc...

Ink seems to be costing me a fortune at the moment been looking into HP's instant ink deal... £7.99 for 300 pages per month.

While looking back I don't know how many pages I print a month, I couldn't even random guess. Maybe 200 - 300 a month. I am having to buy a new cart for both b&w & colour per month even the XL ones it's coming in at around £30 per month.

    Thanks in advance!!

Have you looked into CISS systems....they are continuous ink systems. You buy the cartridge which is attached to a set of ink bottles. It is easy to set up with utube video to show how to do it.
I got mine from E-bay for about £50 2 years ago and have only recently bought some new ink to top up the bottles. :T

I find it better to not stick the needle too far in and make sure you inject very slowly.

Last time I refilled I ended up squirting my O/H with ink all up his back when trying to get the air out of the end of the needle. He wasn't too happy as it went through his holister jumper and tshirt. :rotfl::rotfl:
