Hugs to anyone needing and cheers to glitch finders...........we were just chatting about the Tesco christmans food tasting last year, does anyone know if it will be repeated this year as it was so good ???
    salivating in anticipation, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

They probably can't afford it now ! Unbelievably, the big empty site next to my local store has just been put up for sale again - Tesco bought it a while back and made lots of noise about expanding the store right across it. They shelved those plans and have been using it as a car park - now they are getting rid of it. I always though Tesco kept hold of as much land as possible - even if they weren't planning to build themselves they liked to stop any other competion from doing so. They seem to be in a fair bit of trouble one way and another at the moment.

    :hello:

Surprisingly not much change in M today, other than, obviously, the seasonal Santa and biscuits one week 'flash' offers going off. So expect loads of new items to appear on the M list, as I always forget something when I'm writing this 'summary'. Maybe the big change this week is on Wednesday (:( as I could have done with Wednesday being not much change, very little to do as I'm expecting to be quite busy towards the end of this week).

There appear to be a lot of offers ending on 30th November, meaning that 1st December will be a big day (just in time to start opening the first box on the Advent Calendar).

Today, Ski yoghurts are off (but I removed those earlier as had been a change in the range in M). Beware on the Steamfresh Pasta bags that are/were not showing for M on msm and were comparing to M at £1. They are now £1.75 in M. Quickly moving subject, to the other Birds Eye Steamfreshes: the Cantonese and Egg Fried & Peas are off, and... I tried two stores this time (I'm not trying a third - there's only so much I can do, in my quest:D for the prices and, in any event, a third store will probably end up giving me three different prices and no use, but no wonder the APG returns full price sometimes...), that's where my two stores differ... the Med Veg. and the Golden Fragrant Veg., the ones that went onto £1 later, are either... still on at £1 until 6/12 or are back up to 'full' price £1.75, take your pick!

The Bernard Matthews Dinosaurs and Kievs are off, as are the 4 pack Birds Eye Southern Fried Chicken (hopefully T will still be at £1.62 on the last ones therefore MvsT?).

The 20p RTC Jellies/Fruit Pots may be disappearing, if they have not already and the Wild Bird Feeder at 75p may either have been cleared or may be going back up to full price (yes, I know:rotfl:). I reckon the Alysia Strawberry Trifle is all but gone - it was £1 "whilst stocks last" last week and I managed to find precisely three of them in only one store (out of six checked) by the Wednesday of last week. It'll almost certainly come back again at some point, at £1, on some 'special purchase' in the future.

Careful on the 500g Brussels Sprouts packs - we are now relying on an offer label still being left up in one of my stores today. I found no stock there, and in the second store I found no label and no stock - they seem to have moved onto some Sprout Stalks packs:( at 99p:(:(. Therefore the A ones may well go N/A. Or maybe not.

Struggling with various inconsistent prices on the Aunt Bessie's frozen puddings/pies and the like. I thought initially today that it was now just the ones that are only available in M that are remaining at £1 (I'm on about those bigger packs btw and not the regular ones that seem to be now on everyday such as the Morello Cherry Pie, instead those that are, or have been, on what they call promotion). So that it was the Apple Crumble, and the Toffee Sponge that we're not bothering with as I think it's 300g, offers no 10% and is too much of a tempting item.

It appears to be the Winter Fruit Crumble. However, I have SELs in both stores saying £1.69, yet they are showing as on offer at £1 on the aisle ends. (Surely the APG people would scan the £1.69 SEL? There is no place to scan on the aisle ends even though the picture of the product suggests it's still on offer.) I imagined the Toffee Apple Pie might be £1 - however one store continues to have that at £1.50 (which it had at that even when the product was previously showing on offer at £1 on one of the end aisle freezers), whilst the other store turned out to have that now showing - pick a price out of the air! - £2.50:eek:. I think I'll just cross off the Aunt Bessie's as I am struggling with working out their prices.

Finally - I can't remember (:o:rotfl:) what we found last time this went on offer - did it compare on the APG or not? M's (Large) Whole Chicken is on £1.75/kg. Much better than 10% off Sains' Basics price (A S/P Whole Chicken, you'll recall, moved from Avs M to Avs S a few days ago due to S then working out slightly cheaper than M). In M they've made a mistake on the red-bordered offer label - they have actually printed it as £1.75 per lb. but then, rather strangely, and in smaller text on the offer label, it says 80.0p/kg:D:D. I doubt you would stand much chance of successfully arguing that you should pay 80p/kg though, given that the chickens themselves have stickers saying £1.75/kg on them. They will obviously(?) go through at £1.75/kg and not the 80p/kg stated on the offer label - best of luck on that one!:rotfl:

The red-bordered labels have a price showing in larger text of £1.75 and then per lb. (not sure whether the per lb. is bigger than the text on the labels on the chicken themselves) - £1.75 per lb. is very significantly more than £1.75/kg. Yet there is a price indication of 80p/kg on the offer labels (they appear to have mistakenly put it into pounds weight and then done a conversion to kilograms the wrong way) so should you pay the lowest price that is showing? The question would be whether the average consumer would think that they would get a chicken for 80p/kg.
