Mhoc or anyone else that might be interested....
Operation War Diaries is a good place to start. The national archives are attempting to digitally record all the First World War diaries they have in their possession. If you have an interest I guarantee you will be both touched and rewarded

Awesome. I meet a couple when I worked in South Dakota and the wife was telling me about her father. He kept a diary during WW2 and it was compelling to read. He signed off every entry with F.O. which stands for f... off. He was a married American stationed in south England and he meet a girl from Kent. It was absolutely fascinating to read a love story mixed with his war tale. The last 2 pages he wrote about her and having to go back to America, and how he hoped to meet her one last time at a train station in London. Unfortunately the last page was ripped out so they didn't know what happened. They couldn't ask him, as he died in 2005 and it took 3 years to find out he left them a safety deposit key in which the only contents was this diary and old coins.

It truly sounded like a story from a film and ever since they've been trying to find out if someone has this page or more likely if it was destroyed. They also suspect he may have fathered a child with her.

Thanks for the link, even though it's for WW1, going to send them this link and see if they can get anywhere with it :)

Munqui, let me know what you decide on... Very tempted by this, used to cans but £0.33 is the price of 1 can  Sooooo im tempted, verrrrry tempted... :T

It won't let me check out for CC now as the old mbuy has apparently expired... but you can't remove it (the mbuy offer) from the basket and it's still showing on the website :rotfl:

Saved me placing an order I guess, and I just remembered something I forgot to add too!
