BTW I got the waitrose answer of £2.50 without researching as I got those beans last night!!! Just needed to do the sums. Bit confused about the coffee though in my store you just go to the cafe or coffee machine and show your card. It never appears on a receipt.

The multibuy has also gone from the Dettol wipes. I checked on Wednesday or Thursday and these items were in the 2 for £2 cleaning.

We live in a square with a car park in middle.

I have bought a Christmas tree from Charity Shop - a cheapy good one. So if it gets vandalised or stolen it doesn't matter.

I have ordered those cardboard luggage tags in red & am going to distribute them to residents around the square & ask them to write a Christmas message or design on them.
I will then laminate them (knew it would be handy for other than newspaper clippings)
and decorate tree with them

Yes!! :D and how lovely. I gurantee if you get everyone involved it will be cherished and not damaged. Why not go further and ask residents to leave a small present for say a children's charity or similar? if people contribute they also feel protective of their contribution
