Woo hoo! Just got booked for a poppy deinstallation shift. I got rejected first time round as they had too many volunteers but apparently loads of people dropped out. It is weird to be excited? :)

Thats fantastic news Why would it be weird ?

Now DH was very excited as he has been invited to Manchester for a 2 hour medical study cos he is a runner, sorry athlete :rotfl:

He wants to go and stay over as its to far to travel in one day and he thinks we could combine with our wee holiday at the end of the month

    Any elite in Manchester?????????????

    Good morning everyone

I've been up since around 5pm, can't sleep again due to angry thoughts. The weekend has been very stressful for me again due to having stepson over. I was quite prepared for it this weekend but then on Friday just before he arrived OH and I had a massive row which put me out of sorts. It will probably take me at least another couple of days to get back to some semblance of normal, normal for me anyway :( I feel so fed up that its Monday and I have to go to work after not enjoying my weekend. I'm starting to feel more and more that I'd be better off if I just go and live alone then I never have to see the people who upset me. Maybe life would be easier that way. I wish I had the guts to do it but I'm too much of a coward to take that step :(

Does anyone have any advice please for getting rid of unwanted thoughts? I should be able to relax now that stepson has gone but I'm still dwelling on what OH said on Friday and how it upset me. I don't want to be like this but if I can't find a way to stop feeling so stressed and anxious the only other answer is to go back on antidepressants, which will bring other problems :(

I don't want to cause any offence.

I do think that you are being hard on yourself, who states that it is you in the wrong!

But I also think that some work needs to be done with the family before you leave or become ill. x

Some very sterling advice from our David x

  • My local had to get the Supervisor who then spent 5 minutes going through a book and then went to the tobacco till and asked the assistant if it looked ok, they are very sloooooooow

My local co-op is generally awful for taking coupons. There is one lady who will happily do it but the others all act as though you're asking them to pay the difference out of their own pockets  I just don't bother trying in there now :(

Mine comes from about 40 miles away to my local store i use, so unless national i avoid that store, store up the other end it comes from next town which i go to often, so i check there and collect from other store;)

Thanks for this I need to find out do enfield furnish the two big stores nearest to me and if they dont or if a deal is not national do what you do go to thiose stores ;)

You thought you would have loads of space:rotfl::rotfl:

Mr TS is being a little precious about his workshop space. But once he has his final work bench in, who knows what might get hidden under it.
