The important element is that you will need to CLOSE a current account and thus anything in or attached to that account gets switched to your new M&S one. I had £100 in an account (one of my rainy day funds) and so that's the one I used. In the documents they send you (lots) at some point they'll advise you to phone their switching team to process this - and about 4 weeks later for me - the giftcard arrived.

a collective sort of madness seems to have swept down our lane today.
This morning a chap staggered down our lane carrying a big bag of potatoes, no idea why he did not just park directly outside the house. These potatoes he delivered to the neighbour on the right – I don’t know the neighbour needs a full sack of potatoes as he lives alone, possibly he is going to store them in his garden chalet next to the hot tub. He seems to be mostly staying at the new girlfriends place for at least half of most weeks so maybe she is also a big potato eater and the sack of potatoes is a present.
When we came back this afternoon the lane was blocked by a large lorry delivering gravel to the neighbour on the other side for her drive – yes she already has a drive full of gravel and no danger of her running out. We could not get onto our drive so we parked on the road as we expected the lorry to be a long time doing his delivery. Instead he was only there 5 mins as he was only delivering about 2 bags of gravel. This neighbour is now outside in a freezing howling gale with a shovel randomly moving gravel about – why this needed to be done in November instead of during the long hot dry summer I have no idea.
I may be the only sane one left.
Is that on the elite? Seriously loved the humour :rotfl:
I never see my neighbours bring in any amount of shopping Even the one next door and there is 5 of them0 -

(Actually, they're not 'tiny' - proper small ones would probably be a quarter of the size and be even more expensive - but just my perspective of how 'tight' I am and how far I expect my money to go compared to the vast majority of the public:rotfl:. I've no idea why anyone spends expensive money on branded things like these - but I'm sure I misunderstand as one of my family really likes these and seems willing to pay the earth to the supermarkets etc. for them.) What exactly is the use of them? What's wrong with S/P Shampoo?:rotfl: (Other than the fact that it costs far more and is therefore a wasteful filler on a shop at the moment:rotfl::rotfl:.)
OMG Savvy, Smartprice Shampoo!! It's so watery even the residents at the home where I used to work didn't want it and they were not fussyI wouldn't use cheap shampoo as it doesn't feel like it's cleaning my hair. Luckily for me I still have a stash of JF stuff
I don't mind paying more for personal care stuff if I have to, ie if I haven't stocked up on a glitchwhich brings me to this....

I wish I had something to tell! I don't even use moisturiser most daysI'm just glad I wasn't trying to buy anything that needed ID, she would have probably had a heart attack when she seen my driving licence
Also who started this rubbish that straight men can't use moisturiser? I bought some for OH but he won't use it as he thinks only women and gay men moisturise  No wonder most gay men have nice skin while the skin of straight men ages like old leather when they don't bother taking care of it! :rotfl:0 -
