How often can you switch ?

With all the offers available for switching, via comparison sites, cashback sites and things like nectar points, it may be advantageous to switch to a worse deal for this kind of benefit, then switch again to get more deals.

Typically, how often could you switch supplier ? Do they tend to have minimum contract periods ?

Usually once your switch has gone through you can switch again as long as you don't sign up for any capped price tariffs. I would recommend waiting until your cashback has been received before switching again. Some sites limit the number of payouts they give you, so rotate through them to avoid this.
