Is a tumble dryer worth it?

I know drying on the radiator isn't great but there aren't really any other options in the Winter as even if I had one, my clothes would not like it. I do run a dehumidifier when drying clothes indoors. Although I have never wanted a tumble dryer, even if I did I would be out of luck as there is nowhere to actually put one."'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life

I have always had a tumble dryer as with kids/my job I do need the knowledge of having dry clothes. I always try outside first on the line as this is free and clothes always smell nice and fresh, but there are times when that won't work.
I agree and can only advise with all the others that the moisture from wet clothes/cooking/washing HAS to go somewhere so if you have all the windows shut, that moisture stays within the house causing problems.....
However, on the advice of my long gone dad, electricity is the most expensive way of heating, so when I decided to get a tumble dryer, I chose a GAS one, yes, a gas one. Had the same one now for 24 years. Still need electricity to turn the drum but gas heats the air, so you do need a gas point close to where the dryer will be.
Still available for sale here:
