Morning all,
TTFTM - ouch on the car repairs. Hope the warranty engineer's report leads to a favourable outcome.
RedRuby, how is little dog doing?
Lyn, glad that Docky is less stressed by the fireworks and rain.
Jackie, have a lovely day.
Hello all! Lovely hearing all your news, hugs to those who are struggling.
I have not got up yet, but it sounds wet out there. No definite plans for today, I will need to put some washing on and change our bedding.
Dinner tonight will be toad in the hole with mashed potatoes and vegetables.
Take care.

Good morning (almost afternoon!) everyone. I have had an unintended lazy start to the day, which has sort of knocked me of course a bit. Anyhow, now up and ready to face the day!
I have just had some HM bread (from my Breadmaking re acquaintance session yesterday) toasted. It tastes OK
feel confident to be doing it again.
It's very mild again here - I am sat here with shirt sleeves and do not feel cold at all. Enjoying it while it lasts!
I have cauli and carrots and jacket potatoes to use up today, and so they will all be done this evening with some Spanish chicken breasts.
lunchtime will be HM bread and some tomato and red pepper soup that I found in the freezer.
one load of washing out to dry - doing a bit if an experiment at the moment. We have an outdoor cat run joined on to the back of part of our house, which has a Perspex roof. I am trailing putting the washing out there to dry - it will catch any breeze, but will be kept dry from any rain. I have one of those Lakeland airers where you put the clothes on hangers, and so I am going to see how it goes.
best wishes for a happy Sunday and hugs for those who need them today.
Take care everyone.

Hi everyone,
TTFTM, I'll keep everything crossed for you but be warned - warranty companies look for any and every loophole to get out of paying. We were stung by them earlier this year.
I'm not looking forward to tomorrow - going to work for the first time in three and a half years - I'm a bit nervous.0 -
Wet overnight and a heavy shower again this morning, it looks like we might be in for some more too
The serious muscle came this morning and got the single bed downstairs for us, they are collecting it tomorrow....sewing room is now looking very good and much tidier.0 -
Mrs LW I'm so pleased that Docky's valerian is making such a difference; someone across the way from us was letting off very loud fireworks last night - some of them made me jump out of my skin, so goodness knows how a dog would feel about them (we don't current;y have a canine guest).
Redruby how's Little Dog?
Snoozer best of luck for tomorrow; I'm sure you'll be fine once you get there and get started - it's the anticipation that's the worst bit.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
DD came home yesterday to pick up her wedding dress and when she tried it on it fitted perfectly and will not need any alterations :j
She set off back down south late morning and I made us chicken with veg, stuffing balls and roasties for lunch.
DH seems to be getting pain under control and eating a little bit better so fingers crossed. Still just over a week of treatments to go .
Stood on the scale and I have put on over half a stone
Getting back to healthy eating as there is less than four weeks to DD's wedding.
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"
