Thanks MSE - great advice on travel credit card

I just wanted to say "thanks" to MSE for the great advice on getting a credit card to use overseas next month. I currently have a Tesco credit card with 19 months interest-free which is great, but fees for using outside the UK are obviously high. I also have a Natwest current account with a debit card that has daft fees abroad.
After reading the site's advice I spent five minutes applying for a Halifax Clarity card which means I can:
a) withdraw cash with no ATM fees overseas
b) pay for most things like excursions and accommodation using the credit card and not pay a fee
c) transfer cash from Natwest to Halifax online whilst away
I just need to make sure that I pay the whole thing off when I get home. That's where the Tesco card comes in. I've been paying off the balance with everything I have left at the end of the month. For two months I'll just pay the minimum and use my current account balance to pay off the Halifax card.
Thanks :money:

Just make sure you watch out for DCC (dynamic currency conversion) where the retailer/ATM converts the currency at a rubbish rate. Always choose the local currency, and check amounts/receipts carefully.0
