Bank of Scotland Vantage

Is it possible to hold a Bank of Scotland Vantage in addition to a Halifax Reward account?

I live in England but have both Halifax and Bank of Scotland accounts (and being able to see both products on each other's websites).

    Indeed it is.

    I hold 3 x BoS Vantage accounts and a Halifax Reward :)

Obviously not as adept as YorkshireBoy :o

How are you able to have 3 BOS vantage accounts and 4 Halifax reward accounts?
Are some of them joint accounts?

    They're all sole accounts.

Anyone can have 3 sole BoS Vantage accounts, and the T&Cs remain the same as they were when I opened mine.

There was a time when you could have 3 sole Halifax Reward accounts. As always, the early bird catches the worm! I blagged the 4th when I redesignated an old HICA (High Interest Current Account) around 5 years ago.

There was a time when multiple Halifax rewards could be opened and some people still have them. Sadly I missed the boat on that one.

New applications ok for 1 x Halifax Reward + 3 x BoS Vantage. All sole accounts. Not sure about joint accounts. Suggest check out t&C's.

Not only did YB beat me on the Halifax front, He also types faster than me.:rotfl:

Yes. They both show up on each other's sites using the same logon for both sites.

Yes. I opened BoS first then Halifax. When I opened Halifax It gave me a new set of login details for their site. It also amalgamated all the BoS and Halifax accounts so that I can now service all accounts from either site. Internal funding transfers are ok.

The really savvy lot would probably have bagged several BOS Reward accounts on top of their Vantages and several Halifax Rewards when that was still possible. Not me, though, I came to the party much too late.

I don't remember there being much success with this approach? I know I tried myself whilst holding 3 Halifax Reward accounts and got as far as sort codes and account numbers being issued for BoS Reward accounts, but they very swiftly closed them...and tormented me for months by leaving them visible, but unusable, in my online area!

Perhaps others were more successful than I?
