Credit Card 'Purchases'

Hi all,

Could anyone help please?

Obviously i know what purchases are but I'm hoping to pay 'some' of my monthly bills off on a new credit card

Does anyone know if housing rent would fall into the purchase catagory? Struggling to think of any high value bills to put on the card?

I hope that if you're putting high value purchases on it, that it's 0% and that you'll be saving the money up to pay it off before the end of the 0% period.

I'd be surprised if your landlord will accept credit card payments. Most things can be paid off by credit card if it's with a big company, i.e. telecoms etc. It *may* go through as a cash transaction though, since you'd be paying off finance with finance.

Cash transactions are pretty clearly defined in the T&C. Typically it's ATMs, gambling, bureau de change. If a bill can be paid by a CC it's purchase, but many bills can't.
