Pay in £1000 per month current account

Quick question, BOS Vantage account, how long do I need to leave the £1000 in for before I can move it?
I opened this current account to earn the interest.

Why not move the money out first, then back in again? Problem solved...unless you're going to ask the same question for the other account? ;)

Let's look at it another way...if your salary (of £1,001.28) was credited to your BoS Vantage account at 1:30am, how long would you expect to have to wait until you could withdraw some or all of it?

But it isn't: You've probably got £5k in the account, you pay in another £1k, making 6K. That's just a number in an electronic ledger, not a pile of notes/coins/gold bars.

Then you transfer £1k out, leaving £5k again. It's still just a number in a ledger. There's no way to identify the two £1k transfers as being the same money. You could just as easily have done the transfer out first.

Actually, for the Halifax Reward account, it is definitely the same £750 - well £749 ;)

And it wouldn't be a good idea to the transfer out first :(
