£60 parking fine

My husband received a letter from a carpark company. It has a photo of his car leaving the carpark. This was two weeks after the incident. He still had the parking ticket so photographed it and attached it to an email to the company. He hadn't however typed in all his car reg number when buying the ticket so the ticket only has the first letter of it. They have turned down his appeal even though its clear he paid £1.30 for two hours but only parked up for 45 mins. Can anyone advise what the next move should be. It is a private company not council
