Not sure about the RBS cash machine restriction. Had an RBS Basic account for around 3 years now and never had a problem with getting cash out regardless of bank (and not just ones from the RBS/Natwest group) - Lloyds, Barclays, Co-Op, Post Office plus more have all been fine ????0

Thanks for the help everyone. In the end I picked the Lloyds Cash Account, I applied online and had it all sorted straight away. Card and stuff should be in the post this week.0
