Late Timesheet for contracted hours withheld

My Timesheet was 3 hours over due time.
I am contracted for set hours every term but can do additional hours when available.
My employer withheld the whole months pay the contracted and additional hours.
Is this legal:mad:

If there's a cut-off time for processing payroll payments and you missed it then what do you expect will happen?
Some automated processes cannot easily be interrupted.
Are they able to raise a manual payment or an advance?:hello:0 -
Usually, yes; you missed the time cut off, so you wait until the next payroll date. They may do you a manual payment as Tiddlywinks has said, but unless there is something in your contract that states it, it will be purely good will.0

Note that people are saying your employer can't withhold the payment just delay it so that it'll be paid during the next payroll run.
I bet you won't be late with it again.0 -
because you put it in late your pay is now in the next payroll run
there is nothing that you can do other than beg and remember to get it in on time in futureThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
Point taken about time keeping !
Even though the contracted hours are the same every month wouldn't it mean they should pay the amount I am contracted for ?0 -
You need to get the system changed to only require timesheets for overtime or have the default sheet always have normal hours sent in early and update with an new one if extra hours are done.0

just because you are contracted for those hours doesnt mean you worked them you could have been ill or had a half day or something
if those are the rules then you have to play by them
if you do it daily and then hand in the day before then you will avoid this sort of thingThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -

Your pay is based on submission of a timesheet. Past that everything is irrelevant. So no - you get paid when you follow the rules on submission of timesheets0 -

This will vary between organisations, however having stated that a timesheet is necessary by cut-off time, then I suspect your employer's system will only pay on receipt of a timesheet. Why not see if a manual payment can possibly be made as a one-off? Obviously you'll need to acknowledge they're doing you a favour.
In addition you should talk to your union, they may be aware of any precedents or local agreements for this situation.0
