how much is child benefits?
£20.50 a week. Unless one of you (on your own) earns over £50k then you should get it.0 -
Cheapy tests are very reliable when you are 5 days late. If all of these are negative, not even a bit of a line, then it is highly unlikely you are pregnant. Considering all the questions that are coming to your mind at the thought of the small possibility that you are, I would think that making sure you use a reliable method your priority now.0

Hi,
If not preg, maybe an opportunity to look into contraception that you're both happy with until you're as settled as you want to be. XPlease be nice to all moneysavers!

Big big thanks to Niddy, sorely missed from these boards..best cybersupport ever!!0 -
Bouncybubbles, do you want to be pregnant?
Even the cheap tests are reasonably reliable, you've had several negatives yet are thinking ahead of your due date!
Pop out now and get one of the top notch tests from Boots, but it doesn't sound like you are preggers to be honest.0 -
Do you or your partner actually want a baby at the moment?0

Why would anybody buy a pregnancy test from ebay knowing they had to wait for it to be posted before they could find out? (Unless you had them to hand as you've needed to test before in which case you really need to look at more reliable contraception.) Do you secretly want a baby and that's why you are playing with fire/thinking you are pregnant despite several negative tests? I would have expected a nurse to be a bit more on the ball if i'm honest.
Anyhow, telling off over...
Re benefits, I believe that depending on the time of year you give birth you may or may not have already earned over the threshold for claiming benefits in that tax year. Were you, for instance, to give birth in mid April you would have earned very little that tax year so would probably get some benefits due to your partner only earning £21k. If you worked until October you wouldn't be eligible (I think) because jointly you would have earned over the threshold (which I believe is £26k but hopefully someone more knowledgable will correct me if I am wrong.) That is why, if you have done the calculations for this month, it is saying you aren't entitled to anything.
Either way you would get a tax rebate as the months you were earning you will have been taxed as if you would be earning that amount all year so will only have been allowed on twelfth of your tax allowance each month.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
IMO 3 negative tests means no baby.0

Well for starters, have you been having unprotected sex and not using any form of contraception?
If yes, then you could be pregnant, and presumably it can't be too much of a surprise...
If no, then perhaps wait a few more days before testing again. There are lots of reasons AF can turn up late.
If you arent pregnant, then perhaps rethink your method of contraception...Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
