Student account, overdraft help?

Hello,
I'm currently a third year student and for the previous two years I didn't bother with 'student accounts.'
However, now in my third year I'm quite short of money was looking into getting an interest free overdraft. I've seen them advertised as part of student accounts, but the accounts advertised seem to assume you taking them out in first year.
So I was just wondering if anybody knows whether these student accounts can still be opened in third year, ideally with an interest free overdraft.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Shouldn't be a problem to open one in the third year, banks might differ on this though. Asking your current bank (assuming they do a decent student account) might be a good first port of call.
