Can't say I'm surprised.0 -
yes, just Googled and found out - bit weird - why on earth did they set up the fancy new website a few weeks ago then - which I didn't like - preferred the old one.
I had contacted them as didn't get my points last Monday and was really annoyed as I had £9.98 in Nectar points and wanted to convert to 4 lots of £2.50 vouchers for e-bay for an urgent present I needed to buy. Their measley 24 points from last week would have topped it up - still haven't got them.
The e-mail I sent on their contact page just came back to me with no reply0 -
great shame0

It was great, then it was rubbish. So I'm kinda pleased as now I don't have the temptation to bore myself silly for a penny. Nectar never responded to my questions about the changes to adpoints.
Nectar also dropping awards in Sainsbury's next year, 1 point per £ instead of 2 points? Times are tough and Aldi is winning.
For me it's a cash out at Christmas and more or less stopping Nectar.0 -
Although it wasnt as good as it used to be - Im gutted as we used our points to treat the boys to the cinema.Mum, wife and dinnerlady!0

It gave the impression it was run by Nectar but was a private marketing firm.
I had a problem once with the points awarded and they wanted by nectar account password to check it out........ crazy.
They were often late adding points so not surprised they have gone.0 -
I hope they add my points because I was only looking at their adpoints last week. Shame they have gone but not surprised.0

The Adpoints site is still active. No mention of them ceasing trading. Can't find anything on Google about it either. Only discovered it had gone when I tried to login today.0

Just googled adpoints and one of the websites which shows is the one which someone above has added a link for. It is Nectar and explains that adpoints have ceased trading. I had not heard of adpoints before so too late now lol. Pity for those who were using it though."For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."0

Just found out, after research (thanks MSE), that adpoints have ceased trading after trying to do my daily logon to the site. Absolutely disgusted as they did not even bother to tell loyal customers or put anything at the top of the newly changed website (which was terrible). This was a great site I found about 6 months ago and was excellent for gaining a few more points. They have no customer service skills at all by just closing it down without informing members.
It looks to me like Nectar is rapidly winding down as Sainsburys is abolishing 4 points per £ as of April 2015 and giving 2 points plus "special bonus offers". They are also abolishing the extra points for reusing bags- as they are going to be charging for every bag from now on. Whilst I applaud this measure of bag charging to reduce harmful waste, it should still be an incentive to get points for reusing bags.
We also got sent vouchers for extra points when spending at Homebase but these did not scan so we ended up having to contact nectar to get them added. Another sham operation.
Wonder what will be going next? Nectar e shops?
This is definitely a scheme that is winding down:mad:0
