Nectar Adpoints ceased trading

  • Yes this is frustrating as I only found out about it recently and registered but hadn't had a chance to collect any points yet!
    Never mind!
I'm not sure they would be winding down - just trying not to give away too much. We all know it takes an awful lot of point s to actually get anything of value, but I guess you can collect at a number of retailers and not just Tesco (BP, Homebase, Argos to name a few). I can't imagine it disappearing altogether, just not being so free with points as they used to be.

    Sainsburys not tescos lol
  • my experience with nectar adpoints has been a rubbish. they reward people with pennies because it is `free` money but it is a waste of time for all concerned . What annoyed me most is that i got replies from support teams at nectar adpoints and nectar itself to my enquiries which were never actually answers and it was all about self promotion. i cannot be bothered with a loyalty card when the support service is not taking its customers seriously.

It looks to me like Nectar is rapidly winding down as Sainsburys is abolishing 4 points per £ as of April 2015 and giving 2 points plus "special bonus offers". They are also abolishing the extra points for reusing bags- as they are going to be charging for every bag from now on. Whilst I applaud this measure of bag charging to reduce harmful waste, it should still be an incentive to get points for reusing bags.

Has this been confirmed (in England) or is it just a rumour ?

I've just had an email about Nectar Adpoints no longer being part of the nectar scheme and I've just clicked on my bookmark for adpoints and I got 404 not found.
