Isn't that more of a fault of the sparky concerned rather than the chippy, unless he was using seriously long nails.?I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

and you came to that conclusion how?? How do you think you get power around your home?? Cables are in the walls and certainly in the instances i gave they were coming from under the floor upto sockets, there is no where else they can go until they can invent wireless sockets.
As for the nail length no idea but when being driven in by a nail gun a 40-50mm nail could (and obviously did) quite easily hit a cable. Its only a stud wall after all.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0
