- Good quality scanning;
- Black and white printing is fine (only use it to print out the odd document, Google Map etc - not interested in printing out photos).
Thanks very much in advance,

Take a look at Argos, they have a Brother Printer/Scanner for £39.95, I have 2 of them, they work fine and have independant cartridges that can be replaced cheaply.
Print quality is superb.;)0 -

I was thinking about this one for buying myself, they have them for 39.99 in rymans the stationers ( not online tho, in the shop windwo):beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Canon MP160 £35 from amazon including the delivery, I've installed lots of these printers and they are problem free, easy to use and the print head gets replaced with each cart. The carts are not the cheapest but far from the most expensive.0

Canon Pixma MP180 All-In-One Printer gets a good write up in PC Advisor and costs £47 from here http://www.inkraider.co.uk/main_info/canon_mp180.asp?source=ciaoI'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
I'm not losing my hair... I'm getting more head!!0 -

Avoid the newer Canon and Epson Printer / Scanners at all costs, their cartridge prices are exhorbitant and no cheap replacements available.0 -

Weve got an old HP g85 that is heading out the door - need something v reliable.:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Thanks for all your replies, I'll do some Googling.
I wonder if there is a black+white laser printer with combined decent scanner? Probably not but I'll let you know if I find one...
Cheers,
