I used to live in that area, Isleworth - but more towards the West Mid hospital.

I would go for #2 - Mogden isn't that bad most of the year, we were far enough away so we were never really affected by it, and even in the summer much nearer it, the smell wasn't too bad.

Prices generally in that area have shot up, we sold 2 years ago and houses similar to ours are now on the market (and selling in 1-2 weeks) for over 100k more than we sold at.

House #1. You have a blooming big Rugby Stadium within a few hundred yards, the Chertsey Road is always clogged during rush hours especially when there's an event on, you'll find yourself barriered off from your own road on many weekends if you're so bold as to take your car off the drive. Good points.........you can walk to the match if you're a fan.

#2 When the wind is in the right direction the area stinks, it has for the last 35 years to my personal knowledge. Good points........lots of tomato plants sold by the workers in the plant.

I much prefer House 1. Think it's beautiful and I know the garden is on small side but it's still lovely.

We live in a similar house to No 1. Ground floor cold, middle floor okay and top floor bedrooms always hot as heat rises. It is noticeable walking up the stairs during winter.

Do not underestimate how much heat you will loose through the car port. We have a garage door on our original car port and its always warm in there during the winter. Motorbike doesn't even need choke to start during the winter after a night in the garage.

Why not move a little further and save a couple of quid for a BTL?

  • I actually prefer house no.2 although the upstairs measurements look incorrect. It has more potential.
