If your doors are euro-lock type and you're changing them all in one go, then you could go for keyed-alike cylinders - so one key to fit all external doors.

Bl00dy good idea! Never thought if that, I'll look into it :T:T

The 1 thing you have to do is identify each different type of lock and if they are euro cyl types you have to remove the lock via the screw in the edge of the door.

Why, because there are around 20 diferrent off sets for this type.

Eg, you may get 50/50, or 35/65 or 65/35.

You have to measure from the fixing screw centre to the front and back of the lock, ie, they are directional hence 35/65 and 65/35

Folks selling these will tell you which measurement comes first. Suppliers via ebay will have a drop down menu with the optins for each lock type.

For lever mortise locks it's simpler, just find a like for like lock, but go quality.

Incidentally euro cyl types are available in many differing qualities regarding security. Go for anti pick/jolt etc, and do consider the types that have a finger turn key on the inside.
You don't need a key to get out, the turn buckle is always in place, much safer in case of fire. bigger concern for many
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

If you go to the local hardware store, take some good pics on your phone of each existing lock\door before you go.

It may make the conversations easier.
