Amazon have this 42" smart TV at £339 which seems very good value to me but is it any good or should I consider something else even if it is £50 or £100 dearer? Claims to be their 2014 model.

Take a look at John Lewis you get a 5 year guarantee with their televisions I bought mine from them online and everything went like a dream good people to deal with.Low Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs
Since first using Martins I have saved thousands0 -
The problem with this type of question is people can only really comment on the TV that they chose . . . And if they chose whichever one . . . of course it's the best one because anything different would make them look silly.
I did the smart TV exercise 6mths ago & bought a Sony W series for £550. Do I regret it . . . NO.
Only after buying a smart TV do you begin to discover that the smart features aren't really all that smart & hear me now, you will not be surfing the net on one ! For me it's all about the picture quality & the ability to plug things in, we watch more TV from USB memory sticks than we do live broadcast. I even splashed out on a 1terabyte hard drive which has replaced a sizeable piece of furniture that used to store all our DVD's.
I trust Amazons feedback system & this set gets good reviews from big numbers of people. I remember the absolute & utter turmoil I went through when trying to chose the best smart TV. Why bother?
At £339 it would be silly not to buy one.0 -
Here's a review.
Richer Sounds are selling it at £10 more than Amazon but with a five year guarantee included.0 -

We purchased a Samsung 40H6400 LED TV from John Lewis a couple of months ago. Hard as we tried, we couldn't get used to the cloudy effect of the contrast when sitting slightly to one side of the TV. Be that as it my, John Lewis has a 90 Day No Quibble return guarantee. We took it back to our local store and after a quick check for damage, we got a full refund. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
