Tiling help!

Having just had a new kitchen fitted, I am now getting the walls partly tiled, the bit between wall and base units and above the sink on the other side.

I have a cream kitchen with dark wood worktops and have chosen cream brick-style tiles. The tiler has come and stuck them all on the wall today and will come back and grout another day. He says that we will have to change the grout as we have got limestone and not white. Does it matter?

I basically went to the tile shop, found the tiles I liked and just told the bloke how many I wanted and that I wanted the adhesive/grout/trims to do the job. I didn't specify any colors or anything other than for the actual tiles (I didn't know you could get different coloured grout ). Surely he would know whether limestone grout was suitable?

I've had a quick look on Google and it seems to me that limestone will be fine, white might be a bit stark. What does anyone else think?

I'd say it's none of his business what colour grout you fit?! You've given him the product, if it's suitable for tiles he should just use it! I have ivory in our bathroom with cream tiles and limestone in our kitchen on our kitchen floor as white would look dirty in days!

Well that's what I was thinking tbh, just because he would use white doesn't mean I would! And I'm sure the bloke in the tile shop wouldn't have given me something that wouldn't go!
