Mcdonalds Parking Ticket

Help?

Received a PCN back in Feb for not in restaurant but however left before the allowed 90 min (according to them attendant left ticket on windscreen), first correspondence received month later and then continued to ignore subsequent letters for Roxburghe and Gladstone, and then they suddenly stopped.

I believe Roxburghe had their license revoked and so I didn't receive any correspondence until about a month ago(Sep)but however DRP (Debt Recovery Plus) decided to take on the baton.

Eventually decided to write (06/10/14) and sent template of letter in one of the forums (usual stuff POPLA,GPOL and no intention to pay and not accepting any liability).

Received a reply from DRP quoting BPA code of practise point 22.7 time to appeal charge has expired.

Can I still appeal and get a POPLA code and doesn't the fact that Roxburghe had their license revoked, make this PCN null and void?

  • Which PPC is it? You should not have ignore it when you got the NtK. This could have been dealt with soooo easily way back then.

Your only real option is to try and get McDonalds to cancel it for you - write a strongly worded letter to the store AND their head office. Do not give up on this course of action, it may need a few letters to sort it.

Depending on the PPC, you will get numerous letters until the 6 year deadline expires - just ignore them. BUT DO NOT ignore a formal court papers (some PPCs happily do court).

No you can't get a POPLA code if you appeal late. So what? Just ignore them of course.

Of course - what did you expect?! I thought the newbies thread made it clear that the option of 'responding robustly and appealing anyway' is merely an exercise to state your case - then ignore them.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
