Did look through the sticky but couldn't find an answer.
My DD, poor student, was given a ticket in a car park in Aberdeen. There was no ticket left on the car so the first we knew about it was when the reminder arrived now costing £60.00 rather that £30.00. She sent an appeal which was rejected as she is not the keeper of the car which is mine. As far as I can see the ticket is not valid on several counts but Aberdeen City Council seems to reject all appeals as a matter of course to get people to pay the lower amount rather that risk it being rejected and costing £90.00.
The leisure centre car park has no signage. The ticket was apparently issued as the yellow lines continue from the road so the highway code applies but there are large gaps in the lines. This was pointed out in the email she sent them and she also sent photographs.
I have just informed them that I was not the driver and have been advised that this ticket is not valid. Info from British Motorist Protection Assoc.
Does anyone know if they can now re-issue in her name as they have her details?
Thanks for your help.

You need to go to Pepipoo..

We deal with Private Parking tickets here. Pepipoo are great for the council ones.0 -
ACC are notorious for this and a great many of their tickets fail on basic points like signage and markings - much of which are eroded/scrubbed out beyond any definition of "reasonable" wear and tear.
IME they usually cave-in when confronted with a strong informal challenge but if that has failed for you, Pepipoo is the best place to go to put together a proper appeal. In the meantime, tell your daughter to get-out and get everything photographed before they fire-up the new lines machine. This and putting-up new signs is something else they have a habit of doing only after someone challenges them.0
