Cheap Energy Club system issues

Hi all
Not sure if any of you have used the MSE Cheap Energy Club system to switch but I experienced some system glitches with it yesterday.
I did the switch, but weirdly got no confirmation email from CEC so I emailed them and they replied telling me that their system showed no switch so to try again. I tried again, same problem.
I then decided to go elsewhere and tried SimplySwitch and did it via Quidco to get £33 cashback as opposed to CECs £30.00 and it did it and worked straight away.
However over night I have now got 2 emails from CEC confirming my switch, so now I have 3 switch applications from my current provider to the new one. I have emailed CEC several times but not got a response yet and seems no way of cancelling them before the "cooling off period" that I get from the new supplier.
I am hoping this will not mean 3 different credit searches for the same thing from the same company.
Not impressed at the Cheap Energy Club, especially the fact that there is no telephone number to ring them to discuss this with.
So just to let you know, if you do a switch through CEC and dont get a confirmation email, leave it 24 hours before attempting the switch again despite what their own staff may advise.
Thanks

Hi Dan
We've now replied to your email - I'm sure you can understand that we're getting lots of messages just now. There was a slight glitch which delayed confirmation emails for a few people but we've fixed that now. If you could get back to our email we'll be able help with this.
Thanks0 -
Not quite the case.
Last email from CEC at 4.09pm says;
Hi Dan,
We are currently trying to get to the bottom of this, I hope you can appreciate it may take a little time to get this rectified. We apologise for the inconvenience.
As soon as we have an update we will be in touch.
Thanks
So I have no email to come back to you on? Please can you let me know what is happening, I want CEC to cancel both the switches as I am going to proceed with Simply Switch as they did exactly what is says in the name.0 -
Hi Dan
We'll ask Eon to cancel your Energy Club switches - sorry about the confusion on the email front (it should be with you now).0 -

Did you know you could have possibly done even better and got £40 cashback for that switch via SimplySwitch if you went via the special MSE link which can be found in the following article?
