A quick one to anyone who knows about the ANPR Cameras
Any ANPR camera without an induction loop in the road, are they capable to distinguish between a car driving forward or reversing?
I guess not, as they only take 1 picture, rather than a CCTV camera.
Any ideas?

I would think not - they scan a point on the road ahead for something that resembles a number plate then capture an image - direction of travel has no effect. The induction loop is used as part of a system to capture a normal photographic image at the same time as the ANPR camera captures one.
